Arkema buys majority in French structural adhesives firm

Arkema has acquired a majority stake in AEC Polymers (Bordeaux, France), a manufacturer of structural adhesives, Arkema announced today. The acquisition is in line with Arkema’s strategy to expand in the specialty chemicals domain, in particular composites and advanced materials. No financial details were disclosed. "AEC Polymers' technology uses mostly Arkema products such as block copolymers, organic peroxides, acrylic, and methacrylic monomers.
