Airgas adjusts earnings guidance because of low organic sales

Airgas updated its 2013 guidance as a result of lower-than-expected organic sales growth—particularly in its distribution segment—with the new earnings per share (EPS) estimation falling somewhere between $1.17 and $1.23 for the fourth quarter ending 31 March, the company says. “Sales to-date in the month of March have not improved appreciably over February, and absent a strong finish in the next 10 days, these weaker-than-expected sales suggest that we may miss the low end of our adjusted EPS guidance of $1.18 by approximately 4%,” says Peter McCausland...
