Air Products posts higher sales on acquisitions

Air Products reported net income for the quarter ended 30 June of $288 million, down 41% year-over-year (YOY), on sales up 9%, to $2.5 billion. The company cites the positive impact of acquisitions, including liquid carbon dioxide firm EPCO in June, as well as higher energy cost pass-through. Income from continuing operations, excluding the impact of its exit from polyurethane intermediates business (PUI), fell 18%, to $298 million.
