Mitsui Chemicals to expand US, Mexico PP compounds capacity

Mitsui Chemicals and its Prime Polymer (Tokyo) affiliate say that they will increase production capacity for polypropylene (PP) compounds by 21,000 m.t./year at their Advanced Composites Inc. (Sidney, OH) subsidiary, and by 13,000 m.t./year at their Advanced Composites Mexicana (San Francisco de Los Romo, Mexico) subsidiary, to meet growing demand from the automotive sector.
