Toray and China BlueStar Link in Membrane JV

Toray Industries and China National BlueStar Group (Beijing) say they have agreed to establish a water treatment joint venture next May, capitalized at $35 million, to produce and trade in water treatment membrane products. The jv plans to invest Rmb500 million to build a production facility, which will be located in the industrial development area of Shunyi Airport, Beijing. The facilities will include production of reverse osmosis (RO) membranes and assembly of membrane elements, Toray says. Commercial operations are expected to start in April 2010. Toray says...
