SNF Floerger starts up quaternized monomer plant in China

SNF Floerger (Andrézieux, France) has begun production at its first quaternized monomer plant in China. The unit, at Taixing, has capacity for 15,000 m.t./year of monomer and 25,000 m.t./year of quaternized monomer. It will feed 2 new lines of cationic polyacrylamide, each with a capacity of 15,000 m.t./year. One of the two polyacrylamide lines will be devoted to the industrial and municipal water treatment markets, and the other line will serve the paper industry.
