Preferred Sands Produces Clean Resin-Coated Proppant Line

Preferred Sands (Radnor, PA) says it has begun full production of its clean resin-coated proppant line, branded as “Preferred RCS.” The company created the proppants due to environmental issues in contaminated frac water. These issues include partially curable phenolic resins leaching chemicals like formaldehyde up to five times the drinking water limit.
