Berwind Acquires BWA Water Additives

Berwind Corp. (Philadelphia), a privately held investment group, has acquired BWA Water Additives (Manchester, UK) from Seera Investment Bank (Bahrain) in a deal valued at around $300 million. BWA is leading producer of antiscalants, corrosion inhibitors and biocides. Seera acquired the company from Close Brothers Private Equity (London) in late 2008.
