BASF details investment, job cuts at UK water treatment chemical sites

BASF will invest £70 million ($114 million) by the end of 2015 at its Bradford and Grimsby, UK, water solutions sites as part of an optimization program, says Torben Berlin Jensen, senior v.p./managing director, Business Centre Europe North at BASF. The company will also cut about 150 jobs across the two sites during the same period, reducing their combined workforce to just over 500, Jensen says.
