Le Hénaff: A more resilient company. Arkema says it plans to buy Coatex (Genay, France) from Omya Group (Oftrigen, Switzerland) for an undisclosed sum. Coatex primarily makes acrylic-based specialty polymers used as dispersants and thickeners in cosmetics, paint, paper, textiles, and water treatment applications. Coatex employees 300, and reported sales of €150 million ($203 million) last year.
