Aquatech Buys Majority Stake in Indian Water Treatment Chemicals Firm

Aquatech (Canonsburg, PA), a provider of water purification technology for industrial and infrastructure markets, says it has acquired a majority stake in Wex Technologies (Pune, India), a privately owned company that provides performance water treatment chemicals and services. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Wex, founded in 2001, is focused on the rapidly growing Indian market, and over the past 10 years, Wex has experienced consistent growth and has built a customer base particularly in the power, petrochemical, and oil and gas markets...
