Sri Lankan company to establish textile chemical plant

Sri Lanka's Board of Investment (BOI; Colombo) has signed an agreement with S&D Associates (Colombo), to establish a textile chemical plant under the name S&D Chemicals, the Sri Lankan government's official news site says. The plant is to be located in the BOI Export Processing Zone at Biyagama, Sri Lanka, at a cost of $3 million, the government says. S&D will specialize in manufacturing industrial chemicals used in the textile industry as well as polymers for textile processing, coatings, and water treatment. The company will employ 100 staff...
