Huntsman Restructures Textile Effects Unit, Cuts 470 Jobs

Huntsman says it will restructure its textile effects business around two global market segments—apparel and home textiles, and specialty textiles—which combined will focus on nine end markets. The move will result in the elimination of about 470 jobs, about 13% of the unit’s total. About one-third of the job cuts will take place at Huntsman’s Langweid, Germany site, the company says.
