Court Lifts Injunction in Kevlar Trade Secrets Case, Pending Appeal

The US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit (Richmond, VA) has temporarily lifted an injunction issued last month ordering South Korea’s Kolon Industries to halt production of para-aramid fibers that rival DuPont’s trademark Kevlar products. The ruling lifts the injunction until the court can rule on Kolon Industries’ related appeal and affects a recent lower court decision ordering Kolon to not produce, market, or sell any para-aramid fiber products, worldwide, for 20 years.
