Demand in the soap and detergent sector has held up well relative to the rest of the chemical industry. However, market players are closely monitoring conditions amid uncertainties in the global economic downturn, say attendees at the annual meeting of the Soap and Detergent Association (SDA; Washington), held late last month at Boca Raton, FL.
