Solutia to Restart Pennsylvania Sulfur Plant

Solutia will reopen its insoluble sulfur plant at Monongahela, Pennsylvania in November, the company says. The plant was idled in June. Demand for Crystex-brand insoluble sulfur, which is produced at the plant, "has improved significantly since the first quarter of 2009," says Greta Senn, v.p./Crystex.
