Lanxess restructures rubber chemicals production network, to close site and cut jobs

Lanxess says it is streamlining its production network and portfolio for its rubber chemicals business unit, and a central element is the bundling of production processes for vulcanization accelerators, which are used primarily in the tire industry. The company’s Bushy Park, SC, site is taking over production of the accelerator Vulkacit CZ from the Kallo, Belgium, plant, and the company is shifting production for the accelerators Vulkacit DZ and Vulkacit NZ from Bushy Park to Kallo.
