Lanxess Starts Up Rubber Chemicals Plant in India

Lanxess says it has completed the first phase of construction of its previously announced new site at Jhagadia, in the state of Gujarat, India, and that it has started production at the new rubber chemicals plant at the site. Lanxess is developing the site at Jhagadia for the manufacture of ion exchange resins and rubber chemicals with a total investment of €50 million, and the rubber chemicals project involved relocating production from Thane, India to Jhagadia.
