Markets :: Specialty Chemicals :: Rubber processing chemicals Hexagon Acquires Ohio Compounder9:53 AM MDT | September 7, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Hexagon Polymers (Gothenburg, Sweden) says it has agreed to acquire rubber compounding company Gold Key Processing (Middlefield, OH). Terms were not disclosed. Gold Key has annual sales of about $75 million. Gold Key operates a 35,000-m.t./year rubber compound plant at Middlefield, and supplies the aerospace, automotive, construction, industrial, and pharmaceutical markets. The acquisition is expected to be completed September 1, and be immediately accretive to Hexagon’s earnings. Meanwhile, Hexagon Polymers’ parent company, Hexagon AB (Stockholm)...
