Evonik Industries Mulls Sale of Carbon Black Business

Evonik Industries, the second largest maker of carbon black worldwide, behind Cabot Corp., is spinning off its carbon black operation and says it is examining three options for its future. Evonik on July 1st, 2010, formed  Evonik Carbon Black GmbH, an independent company currently headquartered in Frankfurt but moving to Hanau-Wolfgang on October 1, 2010.
