Markets :: Specialty Chemicals :: Rubber processing chemicals UOP technology selected for isobutylene project in China8:21 AM MST | January 30, 2013 | Francinia Protti-Alvarez Honeywell says that C4 Oleflex technology, supplied by the company's UOP subsidiary, has been selected by Longgang Chemical (Qingdao, China) for use at Longgang's facility at Dongying, China. The technology will be used to convert refinery-derived isobutane to isobutylene, used in the production of fuels and synthetic rubber. UOP will also provide basic engineering, catalysts, adsorbents, specialty equipment, and engineering for the project, Honeywell says.
