Markets :: Specialty Chemicals :: Printing inks Flint Buys Packaging Ink Business; Starts Up New Plant12:17 PM MDT | April 18, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Flint Group (Luxembourg) is expanding in the packaging market with an agreement to acquire Siegwerk Group’s (Siegburg, Germany) packaging ink business in Australia and New Zealand, and the separate startup of a new $2-million ink facility at Atlanta that serves packaging and commercial printers. Terms were not disclosed for the Siegwerk business, which has annual sales of €25 million ($39 million). The acquisition agreement includes intangible assets, sales, marketing, and distribution channels in both countries. The transaction is pending regulatory...
