Altana Completes Acquisition of Water Ink Technologies

Specialty chemicals group Altana (Wesel, Germany) says it has completed the previously announced acquisition of Water Ink Technologies (WIT; Lincolnton, NC), a producer of water-based and UV inks, varnishes and coatings for narrow web applications. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. WIT had sales of $34 million in 2008.
