U.S. Officials Consider BPA Testing Rule

U.S. EPA has issued an advanced notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPR) seeking comment on requiring toxicity testing for bisphenol A (BPA). The agency is considering requiring testing on organisms including amphibians at sensitive life stages, birds over multiple generations, and aquatic invertebrate species. It is also considering environmental testing in areas near significant points of release, including manufacturing facilities....
