After a long period of depressed margins and limited investment, TiO2 supply has tightened in the past two years year and prices have risen sharply in rutile and ilmenite, the two crystalline forms of TiO2. According to IHS, rutile prices more than doubled in 2011 from $540/m.t. in 2010 to $1,400/m.t. Ilmenite prices grew from $75/m.t. to $200/m.t...
