Arkema finalizes divestment of tin stabilizer business

Arkema says it has finalized the previously announced divestment of its tin stabilizer business to PMC Group (Mount Laurel, NJ), a producer of performance chemicals and plastics. The divestment is in line with Arkema's strategy, and with its target, announced in September 2012, to divest businesses with combined sales of about €400 million ($517.8 million) in 2012-16, Arkema says. The move is also part of Arkema's plans to refocus its functional additives activities mostly on organic peroxides, the company says.
