Altana doubles US additives capacity

Altana today inaugurated its new additives facility at Wallingford, CT, doubling capacity for paints, composites and other additives in its BYK Additives and Instruments division. The new facility cost $50 million – Altana's single largest investment in the US to date. The expansion, at BYK's US headquarters, involves a 56,000 square-foot building with capacity for 14 different kinds of additives, as well as research and development (R&D) facilities and offices.
