Altana Buys Polymer Modifier Producer

Altana has agreed to acquire polymer modifier producer Kometra Kunststoff-Modifikatoren und –Additiv (Schkopau, Germany). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Kometra will be integrated into Altana’s BYK Additives & Instruments division.   Kometra’s modifiers are specific surface-active copolymers, which are used as impact modifiers and adhesion promoters in many applications.
