Markets :: Specialty Chemicals :: Plastic additives BASF and Sinopec complete study for INA project in China, form new 50-50 jv9:50 AM MST | January 22, 2013 | Francinia Protti-Alvarez BASF and Sinopec have completed a joint feasibility study and taken the next steps to establish a world-scale isonanol (INA) plant at Maoming, China, BASF announced today. Both companies plan to form a 50-50 joint venture, BASF MPCC, to carry out the project. Production is expected to begin in mid-2015. The jv will integrate the INA plant into the existing Maoming Petrochemical Corp. (MPCC) manufacturing complex, allowing for a comprehensive energy management system, and the minimization of water use, emissions, and waste. MPCC is a Sinopec subsidiary...
