The two firms have been collaborating since 2009 to apply Solazyme’s technology to the production of tailored oils for use in Unilever’s soap, personal care, and nutritional products. The two-year extension includes unspecified funding by Unilever and a multi-year supply agreement for commercial quantities of Solazyme’s renewable oils.
