Symrise Teams Up with Cutech for Microalgae Research

Flavors and fragrances firm Symrise (Holzminden, Germany) says it will partner with Cutech (Padua, Italy), a biotech firm that researches dysfunctions of skin and hair, to develop cosmetic active ingredients based on microalgae. The new partnership will allow Symrise to expand “its core competence in natural active ingredients that are derived from sustainable resources,” the firm says.
