Rockwood Subsidiary, Merck KGaA Expand Cosmetics Alliance

Sachtleben Chemie (Duisburg, Germany), the titanium dioxide pigments subsidiary of Rockwood Holdings, and Merck KGaA say they will expand their alliance to develop inorganic UV filters based on microfine titanium dioxide for cosmetics. The collaboration, established in 1995, has been extended to include UV-Titan products produced at Sachtleben’s Pori, Finland  site.
