New EU rules aim to put safer cosmetics on shelves

The European Union today adopted modified rules on cosmetics, strengthening safety standards and providing better information for consumers, the European Commission says. Cosmetics, manufactured in the European Union or imported from third countries, must now be fully compliant with the cosmetics regulation.
