Lubrizol and BASF Negotiating to Acquire Cognis?

Lubrizol has made an approach to Cognis about a possible acquisition bid for Cognis, reports say. The proposed deal could be worth about €3 billion ($4 billion), analysts say. BASF is also considering a separate bid for Cognis and held preliminary talks with Cognis’s owners, reports say.
