Lenzing Buys Filament Maker

Lenzing says it has acquired the assets of plastics producer Pedex + Co through its subsidiary Lenzing Plastics. Pedex produces specialty filaments for applications in cosmetics and hygiene, such as toothbrushes and medical equipment. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Pedex has sales of about €12 million ($16 million).
