Lenzing Buys Filament Maker

Lenzing says it has acquired the assets of plastics producer Pedex + Co through its subsidiary Lenzing Plastics. Pedex produces specialty filaments for applications in cosmetics and hygiene, such as toothbrushes and medical equipment. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Pedex has sales of about €12 million ($16 million). Separately, Lenzing Plastics agreed to acquire plastics filaments maker Hahl Group (Munderkingen, Germany) earlier this year, from private equity company Granville Baird Fonds (Hamburg) and Hahl’s management (CW, Jan. 24...
