Innospec acquires US West Coast silicone formulator and distributor

Innospec announced on 3 September that it had acquired Chemsil Silicones (Chatsworth, CA), a developer and marketer of silicone-based formulations for the personal care industry, and Chemtec Chemical (Chatsworth, CA), a distributor of personal care ingredients on the US West Coast. The companies are each owned privately by the same owner and have combined annual sales of $40 million. Chemtec has offices, a laboratory, and a warehouse at Chatsworth, and Chemsil has warehouses at Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, and Charlotte, with sales coverage in Europe, Canada...
