California Sues Personal Care Manufacturers Regarding 1,4 Dioxane Labeling

California’s attorney general has filed a lawsuit against four personal care manufacturers, alleging that the companies have violated Proposition 65 law by not listing the presence of 1,4-dioxane in certain body washes, gels, and liquid dish soaps. Attorney General Jerry Brown (D.) filed the lawsuit in Alameda County Superior Court against Whole Foods Market California (Austin), Avalon Natural Products (Petaluma, CA), Beaumont Products (Kennewaw, GA), and NutriBiotic (Lakeport, CA).
