AXA  Sells CABB to Another Private Equity Firm

Private equity firm Bridgepoint (Frankfurt) has agreed to buy fine and specialty chemical maker CABB (Sulzbach/Taunus, Germany) from AXA Private Equity (Paris). Bridgepoint has agreed to pay €340 million ($474 million) sources close to the deal say.  Bridgepoint says CABB is the global market leader in monochloroacetic acid (MCAA), which is used in the food industry, herbicides, and personal care products.
