Solvay Codevelops Small Hydrogen Peroxide Units for on-Site Production

Solvay says it is developing, in partnership with Peróxidos do Brasil--a joint venture of Solvay and Produtos Quimicos Makay (Curitiba, Brazil)--a new concept of small, cost-effective hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) production units of 5,000 m.t.-15,000 m.t./year for installation at customers' sites. The concept is ideal for pulp and paper production plants in remote areas such as those in Latin America and Asia, Solvay says.
