National Starch Raises Papermaking Product Prices...

National Starch Papermaking Innovation, a unit of ICI’s National Starch and Chemical, says it will implement a double-digit price increase on its papermaking product line in North America, effective November 15 or as contracts allow. The unit produces specialty starch products for wet-end and specialty surface papermaking applications. The company cites several factors, including continuing pressure from higher raw material and utility costs, which it says have grown by more than 10% in recent months.
