Kemira completes purchase of BASF's AKD emulsions business

Kemira says it has completed the acquisition of BASF's worldwide AKD emulsions business. The deal was announced in late February. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. AKD is an alkyl ketene dimer–based sizing agent that improves paper and board hydrophobicity or water resistance.
