BASF to expand emulsions at plant at Chattanooga, TN

BASF says it will expand production at its Chattanooga, TN, emulsion polymers plant, adding capability for production of styrene-acrylic (SA) emulsion polymers. The expanded plant will serve the paper, paperboard, and carpet industries in North America. The plant, which currently produces styrene-butadiene emulsion polymers, will add swing capacity enabling the production of SA emulsion polymers. Design and modification of existing equipment for the project are currently underway, and the expanded plant is expected to be fully operational in early 2014...
