Arkema to Build Acrylic Polymer Facility in China

Arkema says its Coatex subsidiary will build an acrylic polymer production facility at Arkema’s site at Changshu, China, to sustain the growth of the specialty acrylic polymer market in Asia. “This investment of €15 million will provide Coatex, which already has an industrial presence in the U.S. and in Europe, with an acrylic polymer production capacity in Asia from mid-2011 targeting growing markets in paints (coatings), mineral processing, construction and paper,” says Alain Mari, president of Coatex.
