Markets :: Specialty Chemicals :: Paper chemicals BASF to Invest €150 Million in New Manufacturing Site at Dahej, India1:23 PM MDT | April 11, 2012 | Alex Scott BASF says it will spend €150 million ($197 million) building a new manufacturing site at Dahej, on the west coast of India, which will include facilities for producing polyurethanes (PU), polymer dispersions for coatings and paper, and personal care chemicals. Production at the site, which will employ more than 250 workers, is scheduled to start-up in 2014. The site is set to use shared infrastructure but BASF also plans to employ resource efficient technologies to minimize energy and water consumption, the company says. The integrated PU facility...
