Valspar Opens R&D Center in China

Valspar (Minneapolis, MN) says it has opened a new research and development (R&D) center at Shunde, China. The Valspar Applied Science and Technology Center will employ over 200 scientists to support the growth of Valspar in the Asia/Pacific region and Valspar’s R&D on a global basis, the company says. Valspar’s 2011 global sales totaled $4 billion, which includes sales of $1 billion in the Asia/Pacific region.
