Tikkurila sales increase by 2.2% in first-quarter 2014, Ebit jumps 28.5% YOY

Paints and coatings company Tikkurila (Helsinki) says that its revenue for the first quarter of 2014 increased to €141.5 million ($196.8 million), compared with €138.4 million for the year-ago quarter, an increase of 2.2% year-on-year (YOY). First-quarter 2014 operating profit (Ebit)—excluding nonrecurring items—was €13.0 million, compared with €10.1 million a year ago, or 28.5% YOY.
