Sherwin-Williams reports sales jump, on paint stores growth

Sherwin-Williams announced its third-quarter financial results—showing growth in paint sales volume and through acquisitions. Net income increased 12% year-over-year (YOY), to $262.9 million. Earnings per share of $2.55 fell slightly below analyst estimates of $2.64, according to Thomson Reuters (New York), and they include a 13 cts/share charge from government tax assessments related to the company’s Brazilian operations.
