Markets :: Specialty Chemicals :: Paints and Coatings Sherwin-Williams Raises Earnings Guidance2:08 PM MDT | April 9, 2012 | Vincent Valk Sherwin-Williams has raised its first-quarter earnings guidance to 92-95 cts/share from 56-74 cts/share on higher sales in the company’s paint stores segment. Net sales for paint stores were up 20% year-on-year during the quarter on higher volumes for architectural paints and price increases. The company posted earnings of 63 cts/share during the first quarter of last year. Sherwin-Williams’ first quarter ended on March 31, and the company will report earnings on April 19.
