PPG acquires paint stores in northeastern US

PPG has acquired Masterwork (Pittsburgh), a distributor of architectural paints in western Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York. Masterwork owned and operated 13 stores, which mostly stock PPG products. The purchase price has not been disclosed, and the deal is expected to close during the third quarter of this year. Masterwork’s 13 stores will become part of PPG’s company-owned store network. The deal will improve access to PPG’s products for customers in the professional painter and DIY categories, says Scott Sinetar, v.p./architectural coatings...
