Momentive Files Suit Against Chinese Manufacturer Over Glycidyl Ester Monomer Production Technology

Momentive Specialty Chemicals says it has filed suit against Hebei Shield Excellence Technology (Bazhou, China) alleging  Hebei infringed upon Momentive’s glycidyl  ester monomers production patents. The monomers, tradenamed Cardura, are specialty derivatives of Momentive’s versatic acids. They are a key ingredient in specialty coatings, such as those used in automotive, civil engineering, industrial, marine, coil and UV-curable coating systems, and provide a “wide range of advance performance characteristics.”  Momentive...
